Do you teach classical piano?

My services are focused on contemporary styles of music such as jazz, rock, RNB. Classical piano is a beautiful art form that I integrate into my philosophy, but it’s not the focus of my teaching.

I can’t read music, can I still take lessons?

Yes! Most of the reading that we will utilize will involve reading a chord chart/lead sheet, which is a considerably easier than reading sheet music; if you don’t know how to do this I will teach you!

I’m a total beginner, can I still take lessons?

My teaching approach is geared toward players who have moderate experience on the piano. If you have a good grasp of the note names on the piano, can play a C minor chord, and can tap your foot along with a good beat, you have everything you need to start. If you’re not sure if you’re at a good level, schedule a trial lesson and I’d love to talk more.
